Multiple tubing sizes are available, from 0.015 to 0.093, while 0.031″ is generally best suited for most imaging applications. The pump tubes are available in silicone rubber and C-Flex. They are terminated with a 1/16″ tubing barb. The base of the pump is threaded for easy mounting to a stand or fixture near the microscope. An optional rod mounting clamp is available for mounting to a 1/2″ rod. Bioptechs has developed a perfusion control system that provides cabling, software, and hardware needed for controlling the flow profile of two pumps typically used for induced change experiments. * DUAL TUBE SET WARNING: Dual channel tube sets, particularly the 062 size, place more stress on the pump motor than do single channel tube sets, which will shorten the life of the pump. Pumps with spur gearheads (Low Flow & Ultra Low Flow) are more susceptible to this stress than are pumps with planetary gearheads (High Flow). In addition, dual 062 tube sets make contact with the sides of the pump rotor, which will cause those tube sets to wear faster than other sizes.
